We're NOT number one! We're NOT number one!

For the first time in three years, the City of Flint is NOT number one for most violent crimes. According to FBI statistics, violent crime dropped 26 percent for the first six months of 2013 moving Flint to second on the FBI's list. Oakland, California now occupies the top spot while Detroit comes in at number three. Memphis and St. Louis round out the top five.

Flint Police Chief James Tolbert commended his officers on Wednesday night and said the drop is a combination of a number of things including more help from residents coming forward with information to solve crimes, the reopening of the Flint City Lockup and the partnership with the Michigan State Police.

While number two is still nothing to be that proud of, at least we are heading in the right direction, and that's down! What do you think is helping the most?
