The City of Flint is one of four Michigan cities competing in an international contest to show "Main Street Matters."The goal is to have Flint be one of 20 cities (from the U.S. and Canada) nominated for a revitalization project from paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore & Company.

Flint has chosen the University Avenue corridor for the revitalization project. If won, Benjamin Moore & Company would repaint the area providing all the paint, supplies, and professional support while keeping the  the architectural style, regional influences and historic references.

The other Michigan cities competing include Charlevoix, Lansing and Hastings.

You can help Flint by voting once a day at www.paintwhatmatters.com. The contest runs through 11:59 p.m. on June 30th.
