Christmas Tree Farms
The holidays will be here before you know it, which means it's time to start thinking about where you're going to buy your Christmas tree. I've put together a list of places that you and your family can go to for the perfect tree. Hopefully these ideas will help you get ready this season.
You will find plenty of Christmas trees at wholesale prices to choose from at Whispering Pines Tree Farm in Flushing. It's perfect to go there on the weekend and take the entire family with you. You will be able to warm up with some cider once you're done picking out your tree.
If you're looking for quality Christmas trees and all sizes, stop by Douglas Tree Farm because they carry trees up to 15 feet. They have pre-cut trees or you can cut one down yourself. They'll even clean and wrap your tree once you've picked it out. You can also enjoy horse-drawn hay rides on select weekends.
Runyan's is an award winning Christmas tree farm with eight types to choose from including Scotch Pine, Serbian Spruce and Colorado Blue Spruce. After you cut your own tree you can enjoy some baked goods and hot apple cider. You can also customize a wreath or buy a freshly made table centerpiece. If you don't want to cut your own, they also have pre-cut ones on the lot to choose from.
Top Hill Farms in Goodrich is another great place to go to for Christmas tree cutting. They have hayrides on the weekends, warming sheds, snacks and hot beverages. Employees will help you find what you're looking for whether it's Spruce, White Pine or Fraser. Your tree will even be wrapped for you.
If you don't have time to cut down your own Christmas tree, you can always pick out a fabulous one at Trim Pines Farm in Holly. This location is perfect for the kids where they'll enjoy Santa hayrides, horse-drawn hayrides and live reindeer. This is an experience for everyone to try. The friendly staff will also help you pick out the perfect tree for your home.
Another place you can get a Christmas tree is Mutch's Hidden Pines located in Lapeer. Roughly 40,000 Christmas trees are planted so you will have plenty to choose from in any size you can imagine. Santa also spends his time in the gift barn on Saturdays and Sundays so make sure your kids get a chance to see him. This is also a great place to buy gifts and learn how to build wreaths.
While you're heading to Birch Run for some retail outlet shopping, why not stop by Ciolek's Tree Farm along the way. You'll be able to cut down your own Christmas tree or you can always purchase one that is already cut. Roping and stands are also available. They have a nice variety to choose from including Blue Spruce, White Spruce and Scotch Pine.
