Chris Brown to Stay On Supervised Probation

Chris Brown will have to remain on probation just a little bit longer. At the singer’s progress hearing on Thursday (Nov. 1), a judge granted permission for Brown to go on his upcoming world tour but he must remain on supervised probation.

The Associated Press (via Boombox) reported that Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg didn’t discuss any of the problems that arose with Brown’s community service. A prosecutor said that additional information about his service still remains “somewhat cryptic.”

Brown’s probation officer also sent a report in at Thursday’s hearing stating that the singer has been “making a sincere effort to comply with terms and conditions of probation.” The report recommended that Brown stay on supervised probation, which stems from his felony assault on Rihanna in 2009.

TMZ captured a funny moment during the hearing when the singer tried to explain to the judge about his touring schedule and his attorney Mark Geragos shut him up. Before Brown could get a word out, Geragos chimed in, “I don’t dance, you don’t talk.” The judge then quipped, “We would like to see you dance, Mr. Geragos.”

Chris Brown will embark on a 12-date world tour called Carpre Diem starting Nov. 17 in Norway. The trek will take him through cities in Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland, the Netherlands and France.
