Human trafficking ring is busted up in Detroit.

According to WXYZ - Detroit, this morning (10/14) authorities busted several suspects that are believed to be involved in child-sex trafficking activities in the metro Detroit area.

According to the FBI, this sting was part of a national human trafficking operation and agents managed to save nearly 20 children and arrest 12 suspects in a single bust in Detroit. This particular bust was one of the most successful in the country.

The child-sex trafficking sting that was executed this morning (10/14) was called Operation Cross Country IX was spearheaded by the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, along with state and local law enforcement agencies.

The FBI Detroit field office worked with members of the Southeast Michigan's Crimes Against Children Task Force which includes Michigan State Police, Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office and police departments in Detroit, Southfield, Livonia, Dearborn and Roseville.
