An eight-year-old boy from Ohio has been removed from his mother's home for being too chubby, according to The Daily Mail. Social workers have placed him in foster care and say his mother isn't doing enough to control his weight. He weighs 218 pounds which is almost the weight of four normal children his age.

He needs so much medical attention that the state is considering hiring a personal trainer for him to help him lose the weight. This is the first case where a child has actually been removed from his home for being overweight. Experts say extreme obesity is a form of child abuse, while others argue children shouldn't be removed from their home.

We've talked about this in the past when lawmakers wanted to be able to remove a child from a home if they're extremely overweight, but no laws had been passed. How do you feel about this child being removed from his home?
