One of my favorite things about going on vacation is having lemonade, waffle fries and of course a chicken sandwich at Chick-Fil-A. I fell in love with the fast food chain when I lived in Southern Indiana, and when I moved back to Flint the cravings got so intense that I would occasionally drive to Toledo to get my fix.  Soon, we won't have to cross state lines to, as their cow mascots say, 'EAT MOR CHIKIN!"

It was announced this week that there will a pretty massive renovation of the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport.   They will add several restaurants including a new Chick-Fil-A, the second location in Michigan.  There is a Chick-Fil-A Express on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester, but it is not open year round matching its operating hours to that of the college's school calendar.

Despite the controversy sparked by the founder and C.E.O. in 2012, Chick-Fil-A plans to open a few more locations in Michigan between 2015 and 2016.  Do you hope that a Chick-Fil-A will eventually open in the Flint area?  If they open a location here, we will be able to see some of their funny TV ads like the ones below!
