In what would have been the iconic Chesaning Showboat's 76th year, all of this week's shows have been canceled.

Headliners would have been the Charlie Daniels Band, Bret Michaels and Quiet Riot, Theory of a Deadman and Puddle of Mudd and K.C. and the Sunshine Band.

Organizers aren't being forthcoming as to the reasons for the cancellations, but the general public suspects that poor advance ticket sales may be the reason for the cancellations during the week of the anticipated shows.

This is the first cancellation ever in the Showboat's history, and organizers want everyone to know that they worked hard to make it happen this year.

Most residents wonder if the Showboat can bounce back from this year's disastrous outcome.

It's not clear what will happen to people who have already purchased tickets to on of these shows. Organizers promise to share more details as they become available.
