Are SpongeBob SquarePants headstones appropriate for a cemetery?

When the family of Sgt. Kimberly Walker found themselves planning her funeral, they wanted to incorporate her love for the popular cartoon character, SpongeBob SquarePants in some way.

They decided to custom order two 7,000lb SpongeBob headstones. They stand six feet tall, and are four feet wide. Each headstone cost $13,000. They arrived on October 10, and with the permission of a cemetery employee, each was erected on an eight inch platform.

One day later, the family was told that they had to be removed.
