Cedar Point Shuts Down ‘Windseeker’ After Leaving Passengers Stranded [VIDEO]

‘Windseeker’ has been grounded at Cedar Point and five other sister properties in the US and Canada, after stranding passengers on at least three occasions. Park officials are unsure when the rides will be deemed safe to reopen, and question whether or not operation will resume before the park closes for the season later this month.

The video below was filmed by a Cedar Point guest that got stranded on the ride in Sandusky, Ohio. It shows the perspective of the stranded passengers, who seem remarkably calm. Another similar incident occurred at Knott’s Berry Farm in California several weeks ago.

Cedar Point’s parent company, Cedar Fair LP, told the Toledo Blade they are investigating these incidents, and one more which occurred in South Carolina on July 14th.

You don’t have to watch the whole thing, you’ll get the idea after a few seconds. But just look at that view!
