A new 'floorless' roller coaster will have crowds waiting in line when Cedar Point opens next year. 'Rougarou' is said to be named after a werewolf-like creature from French Folklore,

Rougarou (pronounced Roo-guh-roo) will actually take over the former Mantis. Cedar point announced last month that it will be closing the Mantis at the end of this season, and it appears that the park plans to reuse much of Mantis' existing track to build the new coaster.

The thrill ride features a floorless design, which will allow guests' feet to dangle just inches from the track and murky lagoon below. It features a 145-foot first hill, and then takes a 180-degree turn before the trains drop 137 feet. There are numerous upside-down loops, and twists and turns before its figure-eight finale.
