August 21st is "National Senior Citizen Day." A day of growing importance as our population ages. Older Americans are living longer and fewer people are having children, so seniors are making up a larger percentage of our population.
If you planted zucchini in your garden, you probably have more than you know what to do with. You've already made zucchini bread, put it in salads, cooked it on the grill (my favorite way to eat it!).
Today, Friday the 13th, is Embrace Your Geekness Day. Nothing screams "geek" like the scientists and researchers at Fermilab, the top particle-physics facility in the United States. However, they recently made a stunning announcement. They say they have almost certainly discovered enough evidence to prove the existence of a Higgs Boson.
Not sure what a Higgs Boson is, I could have read the Wikipedia entry, but I thought it would be more fun to ask around here at the radio station. See what everyone said after the jump.
Today is National French Fry Day, and I can think of no food more deserving of a holiday! Most folks would agree that McDonald's has some of the best. If you want to know the secrets behind their great taste watch the video recipe after the jump.
Are you thinking about what you might fix for breakfast this weekend? How about some cute toast? It's the hottest new trend in food right now. See what it's all about after the jump.
Sakia David, the New Jersey mom whose one-year old son was locked in a washer, appeared on NBC's 'Today', and boy is she AGITATED!
She hopes to PRESS charges against the boy's babysitter, a woman named Sandra, who is the girlfriend of the boy's father. Baby Daddy is currently in jail.
Relax! You don't have to fix a big dinner, or put up a tree. No gift giving or greeting cards are required. But we do have three holidays going on today.
April 9th is 'National Name Yourself Day' which is an opportunity to change your name to something you like better, albeit for only 24 hours.
Are you happy with your name? Take the jump to take our poll.
April 2nd is "National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day," a day to celebrate the iconic American lunch staple. Personally, I eat a PB&J sandwich just about every day, unless I make a meatloaf. Find out more about this wacky holiday!
I bet you know someone who’s a Word Nerd. A Grammar Cop. A Grammar Nazi. Sunday is the day to honor that 'special' someone.
March 4th is ‘National Grammar Day.’ Organizers say, "March forth on March 4th to speak well, write well, and help others do the same!" Personally, I think every day should be ‘National Grammar Day'!
If you're single, you may be more inclined to celebrate this wacky holiday! Today is Male Watcher's Day and there are plenty of things you can do if you really want to watch the guys. So you could do this in a discreet matter or out in the open, but check out a list of suggestions after the jump.
