The old tradition of a woman taking her husband’s last name after marriage, while still common, is happening less frequently among modern brides. They sometimes eschew the custom for professional or personal reasons, or simply because changing your name can be a flat-out pain.

Swift accepted the award via a live feed from Milwaukee during the latest stop on her current tour. She was her usual gracious self by saying, "I wish I could be there but I am hanging out with 15,000 of my closet friends in Milwaukee."

April 11, 2011 There is some justice for Zoe. She picked Pia to be the overall winner and was crushed when she was voted off. Now it looks like her future is still pretty bright. As it turns out, getting eliminated from 'American Idol' may be the best thing that ever happened to Pia Toscano.
Sources tell US Weekly that the 22-year-old beauty, who was shockingly booted from 'Idol' last Thursday, has scored a record deal with Interscope Records, which is chaired by 'Idol' mentor Jimmy Iovine.
The label is reportedly "rushing her into the studio to record an album ASAP," and that "papers are being finalized."
April 3, 2011 Bob Seger fans who attended the fourth stop of the tour at Grand Rapids' Van Andel Arena Saturday were treated to a bonus. Michigan superstar Kid Rock joined Bob on stage, and the two sang "Real Mean Bottle", a country tune from Seger's 2006 album, "Face The Promise".
