Saha, who earns a salary of 35,000 rupees or about $700 a month, had expected his account balance to be around $200. To his shock, it was suddenly 490 BILLION Rupees or about 9.8 billion U.S. dollars. What Saha did next was a surprise to me.

Last week analysts were predicting gas prices could reach $4.50 a gallon by Memorial Day and now experts are saying they could soar to $5 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. They say if it does reach $5, you can expect to see gas prices around this same price for the entire summer.

January 4, 2012 Gas prices spiked in the Flint area just before Christmas. They took another jump just before the end of 2011. Less than a week into 2012, the price jumped again.
Unleaded gasoline could be had for less than 3 dollars a gallon in Flint a few days before Christmas. Now it's 3.59 just 3 weeks later.
Did demand/consumption bring about the price hike? Negative. Instability in the Middle East has caused speculators to jack up the price of crude oil and unleaded gas on the commodities markets.

On Monday, the deadline passed for an unknown $77 million lottery winner in Georgia to claim the prize. Unbelievable as that may have been, officials in Iowa had a similar situation — days before the deadline, a Hot Lotto ticket worth $16.5 million was still unaccounted for.
But no more. In a squeaker of epic proportions, an attorney for the unnamed winner stepped forward with the valuable little slip of paper on Thursday, just two hours before it would’ve been worthless.
For pretty much an entire generation, televisions have been as ubiquitous as living room sofas — but that could be changing.

CNN reports that Verizon has decided to scrap its new policy, due to overwhelming complaints.
If it feels like you're being nickled-and-dimed to death, it's probably because you are. Beginning January 15th, you'll be charged a $2 "convenience fee" in order to use certain methods of paying your Verizon bill. Convenient.
