Flint Businessman/Hockey Player Bob Perani Passes Away

Bob Perani played his first game as the goalie with the Flint Generals on New Year's eve of 1969. He played five years with the Generals before retiring from the sport that he loved. A few years later, Perani would get back into the game of hockey when he opened Bob Perani's Sports Shop in 1976. His little store in Flint grew. Exponentially. Now known as Perani's Hockey World, it's considered the largest independent hockey equipment distributor in the world.

I would say that they are done tastefully. A French ad agency has come up with a new ad campaign for condom maker Durex. It may not be long before the ads start running in America.

The folks at Durex and the ad agency believe subliminal sex sells. Take a look at one of the commercials. Warning it's a bit crude.

Presenting People Of Walmart (Sexy And I Know It) [VIDEO]

I kind of feel bad posting this only because Walmart gets picked on by everyone, but everyone’s little secret is that they shop there. Hey, they have great prices on certain things! This video is a unfair depiction of who Walmart shoppers really are.  Although, I’m sure there are some who look exactly like these characters in the video.

Take the jump and enjoy. It's quite funny.

Airlines to Charge For Carry-On Bags

Savvy travelers have known for a long time that it pays to pack light and avoid astronomical baggage fees that most airlines charge. If you can stuff everything you need for your trip into a small carry-on bag, you used to be able to dodge fees for luggage. Those days are soon to be a memory for many, as some airlines, like Spirit and Ryanair are already charging $35 and up per carry-on. There are ways around this, but most come with a cost of some sort and might only yield real savings to those who travel frequently.

Most-Hated Advertising Mascots

Advertising is what pays the bills for most forms of media. Good advertising is entertaining as well as informative, and if it does what it's supposed to, it sells the product too. Businessinsider.com recently took a survey on which advertising character/mascots we dislike the most. Oddly, many of the mascots that we don't care much for have been around for quite a long time.
