March 28, 2012 Earvin "Magic" Johnson grew up in Mid-Michigan. He played high school hoops at Lansing Everett, college at MSU (where he helped the Spartans win a national championship), then went on to a Hall of Fame career in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers. There is a statue of Johnson in front of the L.A. Staples Center. Now, the Spartan/Laker legend will be a regular sight in the owner's box at Dodger games.
March 23, 2012 The Flint Farmer's Market hopes to bring fresh produce to the people by creating two small neighborhood markets in the city of Flint, one on the north end and the other on the south. Many residents lack transportation, many are elderly or infirm. Putting a market closer to where they live will give them better access to fresh, healthy, locally grown produce.
March 12, 2012 I kind of feel bad posting this only because Walmart gets picked on by everyone, but everyone’s little secret is that they shop there. Hey, they have great prices on certain things! This video is a unfair depiction of who Walmart shoppers really are. Although, I’m sure there are some who look exactly like these characters in the video.

March 9, 2012 Savvy travelers have known for a long time that it pays to pack light and avoid astronomical baggage fees that most airlines charge. If you can stuff everything you need for your trip into a small carry-on bag, you used to be able to dodge fees for luggage. Those days are soon to be a memory for many, as some airlines, like Spirit and Ryanair are already charging $35 and up per carry-on. There are ways around this, but most come with a cost of some sort and might only yield real savings to those who travel frequently.

February 26, 2012 Are you ready for something like this? I guess it would cut down on plastic bottles in the landfills. I don't know about you but it's not making me hungry at all. I'm personally still a fan of glass bottles. If you can drink out of it you might as well be able to eat it.

Basically Kellyanne is a college student in Ann Arbor. She's become a bit of a local celebrity with her Walk Of Shame Shuttle. Her motto '"Faster than a taxi because I speed (and I don't judge).'
