The Flint Farmer's Market hopes to bring fresh produce to the people by creating two small neighborhood markets in the city of Flint, one on the north end and the other on the south. Many residents lack transportation, many are elderly or infirm. Putting a market closer to where they live will give them better access to fresh, healthy, locally grown produce.
I kind of feel bad posting this only because Walmart gets picked on by everyone, but everyone’s little secret is that they shop there. Hey, they have great prices on certain things! Are you ready for something like this? I guess it would cut down on plastic bottles in the landfills. I don't know about you but it's not making me hungry at all. I'm personally still a fan of glass bottles. If you can drink out of it you might as well be able to eat it.
