December 21, 2011 Yesterday, gas prices in the Flint area were right around $3 a gallon. Many stations were selling for less than that. Just 4 days before Christmas, right on time for holiday travelers, the price magically jumped to $3.39 at just about every station.

A combination of events have helped propel GM back to number one. Toyota's recalls, Japan's earthquake, and a historic shift in car buying have pulled GM out of bankruptcy. This year GM has 6.79 million sales, leading Toyota by over a million.

Her son walked into the station with the the ticket and payment, mounted and framed. The ticket has finally been wiped off the record books. The fine? Ten cents.

October 13, 2011 The Chevrolet Spark, a new sub-compact car from GM, will also be available in an electric version within a year after the original re4lease of the gas-powered Spark. General Motors says that the electric Spark will go on sale in 2013 in select markets.. The introduction of the gasoline powered Spark is scheduled for 2012. Chevy also makes the Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid.
September 30, 2011 Who knew it was illegal? Lots of old Cadillacs roam the streets of Havana, even today. Prior to the new law that goes into effect on Saturday, car sales in Cuba had been restricted and limited to cars built before the 1959 revolution. Cuba's streets are about the only place in the world where you find a multitude of classic American cars, many big finned Cadillacs, with most in disrepair. There are lots of Chevrolet Belairs and Chrysler Imperials too, all from the 50's.
