Police Release Audio Of Man Calling In Bomb Threats In Genesee County Schools [AUDIO]

Shortly before noon on Friday of last week, Genesee County 911 received a very disturbing phone call. An "older male" claimed there were five dirty bombs inside five different schools in Genesee County. That call was made from a pay phone at a Birch Run gas station.

Another call came in just 27 minutes later which was traced back to a pay phone in Flint near Dort Highway and Davison Road. Police believe the calls came from the same man.

My sister, Nikki, hosted a baby shower for a good friend of the family, Chris. Nikki had gone to school with Chris since they were in elementary school. Chris and I had a few classes together in junior high.

My wife informed me that I was asked to join the festivities. As a guy, I didn't think I was supposed to be in attendance, but then discovered that Chris himself would be there. I was initially reluctant, but I wasn't going to let Chris suffer through it alone.
