The Volkslaufe, a.k.a. "The People's Race" will take place on the 4th of July in Frankenmuth. There are three different race distances, 10k, 20k and 5k plus a children's run. All races start and finish in Heritage Park. The 10k starts first at 8 am, followed by the 20k at 8:10 then the 5k at 10. The kids run starts at 11.

If you are planning on taking any pictures of the fireworks this 4th of July weekend, here are some hints to help make your pictures the best they can be. Be sure to use a tripod, this will help keep the camera still so you don't get a blur. You should also be using a slow shutter speed, probably a four second exposure to get the complete effect.
