As the City of Flint moves forward with Genesee County on plans to build a water pipeline to Lake Huron, officials are also looking at the possibility of drawing water from the Flint River as an option.  It's a $174 million dollar question......lake or river water?  It will decide how Flint residents get their water for the next 50 years. "In this economic climate, every possible scenario has to be considered,"  Mayor Dayne Walling said. "There can't be any questions left unanswered.

Local officials have said for years that the water from the pipeline from Detroit was too expensive, this is an option the City of Flint just has to look at.
