California Man Moves to Flint to be a Goodwill Ambassador

He's already bought a house and become a member of Flint Handmade.

Joel Sayre is an artist who moved here from the San Francisco area, on a "whim." He wanted to try something new, so he bought a house on Kentucky Ave. and has been renting it out with Airbnb.

He says that he hasn't had a lot of tourists stay at his place; mostly people who are here seeking employment. He already had a physician stay there who was interviewing at Hurley.

Sayre also says that he plans to buy a vacant lot next door to him to create a math and science exhibit with some composting and gardening for the kids in the neighborhood.
