I know that these incidents are few and far between, but they still freak me out.
A 24-year-old suffered a broken leg when the cable on the ride he was on snapped, and the cage slammed into the support tower. The video was recorded at Luna Park at Cap d'Agde on the Mediterranean coast of France. The second passenger was uninjured. The theme park blamed the accident on a manufacturing defect, and the ride has since been closed.
I'm not an overly-paranoid person, but stuff like this makes me not want to go on carnival rides. Ever.
