Does it seem like kids in trouble get talked about more? Let's break that trend for a minute here. Meet Burton Scout Pack 160!

Brandi Nelson, Burton Pack 160 scout leader, was proud enough of her boys to reach out on Facebook, and rightfully so. Pack 160 was awarded the highest scouting honor with Arrow of Light badges on June 6th.

Brandi writes;

Most of these boys have been scouting with me since they were Tigers. Over the last 4 1/2 years, I have seen these boys go from games of Red Rover to working with the Genesee Conservation District on storm drain stenciling projects, from having a parent help them put together a UFO made of CDs and tin foil to constructing their own flashlights to take on camp outs.

Some of the things these boys have done to help the community are things like cleaning area parks and collecting money for the food bank and OK tornado victims. On top of all the service projects these boys have done, we have done even more camping and working on activity badges. These boys have spent time with the State Police to learn how they can help in their community and STAT EMS to learn about first aid.

But above all, these boys love to have fun! I can't tell you how much I have learned not just along side these boys, but from them."

Congratulation to Brandi Nelson and her Burton Pack 160! Happy scouting. If you would like more information for scouting in this area, visit the Boy Scout's website here.
