Bruno Mars (Almost) Makes Michigan Girl’s Prom Dreams Come True [VIDEOS]

Back in December, Emily Torres from Fort Gratiot, Michigan made a video plea to Ellen DeGeneres, hoping she could help bring Bruno Mars to the 16-year-old’s Junior Prom at Port Huron Northern High School. (First video, below)

Turns out the ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’ singer is busy that night, but when they appeared on Ellen’s show Tuesday, he not only promised four tickets to his upcoming concert in Detroit, he also hooked her up with a Gucci dress to wear to her prom. Then Torres was surprised with a mini-prom, as the mirror ball dropped and she shared a dance with her idol. (Second video)

“When we got there, I really was just expecting to sit in the audience and see Bruno. Halfway through the show, Ellen played my video and I was like ‘Oh my gosh!’”

Emily told the Lansing State Journal that she still doesn’t have a date for her prom, but she’s OK with that.

“I’m going single this year, but that’s all right.”

The first video is Torres’ video plea that she submitted to the Ellen DeGeneres show; the second is her appearance on Tuesday’s broadcast.
