Their last flight out of Flint will be on June 6th, 2018.

Southwest executives say that it was a "tough decision," but based on dwindling business, the airline will no longer be flying out of Flint Bishop as of June of next year.

They currently provide flights from Flint to Chicago-Midway three times a day. They discontinued their direct service to Baltimore, Orlando and Vegas in April of 2016.

Flint Bishop says that they're not downsizing, and are looking at other carriers to fly out of the airport. Fourteen employees will be affected.
