What began as an investigation into alleged chemical dumping into a water supply turned into a scene right out of 'Breaking Bad' this week. The manufacturing plant of one of America's largest cherry producers, Dell's Maraschino Cherries near Red Hook in Brooklyn, was being searched this past Tuesday when authorities smelled the faint scent of marijuana. This is where things start to get all Walter White...

The police told Arthur Mondella, the owner of the plant, that they were going to get a warrant to search a sectioned-off portion of the building. That was when Mondella excused himself. Realizing that his secret drug manufacturing empire was about to collapse, he decided to end things his way. He locked himself in a bathroom and, according to multiple witnesses, he yelled to his sister who was standing outside the door, "Take care of my kids!" Then he shot himself in the head.  Mondella later died at a nearby hospital.
