It takes a lot of effort to be crowned People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive. Just ask Bradley Cooper, this year’s winner. It takes cooking skills, riding a motorcycle, speaking French and being close with your mom. Don’t get mad gents, these are the reasons People gave when defending their choice. And what a good choice it was.

Cooper is a chameleon — he can just as easily whip off his shirt and go for that scruffy, tough-guy persona as he can throw on a suit and go the clean-shaven, gentlemanly route. It’s been a while since any man could look so good in both these spectrums of male hotness.

What’s the hottest thing about him? He doesn’t even realize the extent of his looks… or so he says. “I think it’s really cool that a guy who doesn’t look like a model can have this [title],” he said. “If you’re a single man and you happen to be in this business, you’re deemed a player. But I don’t see myself as a ladies’ man.”
