According to the New York Post, there was a lot going on behind the scenes of the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City that we would probably never find out about, and officials like it that way. To bad for them, the secrets are out.

For starters, 67-year-old Robert Blasetti was marching dressed as a clown. He was making balloon animals for people in the crowd at Sixth Avenue and West 39th Street when he collapsed and fell onto his back. His 62-year-old wife, Irene, was also marching in the parade as a clown. She helped give him CPR until an ambulance arrived. But unfortunately Robert was pronounced dead of cardiac arrest when he arrived at the hospital.

58-year-old Charles Sutton also died of a heart attack at the parade. He was working for the police department and hooking up a float to a vehicle when he collapsed.

The police department is also taking some heat for using confidential police documents to make confetti for the parade. They were shredded, but details about crimes and police officer social security numbers were still readable.

Could you imagine standing with your kids as a clown made them a balloon giraffe, and keeled over right in front of you, while getting showered with details from New York City crimes? I think I'd rather do what I always do and watch the parade from the comfort of my own home!
