Beyonce doesn’t really do interviews much anymore — mostly because she doesn’t have to. Such is her immense star power. She somehow sidestepped one with Vogue, and they gave her the cover anyway. But she did sit down with Elle for an interview in what effectively promotes her new athletic clothing line Ivy Park, which will be sold in Topshop, Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter. The line's new site sees Beyonce and assorted models working out in her new gear.

The magazine promises an in-depth interview with Beyonce, where she'll touch on topics like “freedom, feminism, how her new fashion line, Ivy Park, helps women love their bodies and more.”

Beyonce also released a video in conjunction with the Ivy Park announcement, where she explains the impact running has had on her life and how it taught her discipline.

“I would wake up in the morning and my dad would come knock on my door, tell me it’s time to go running. I remember wanting to stop, but I would push myself to keep going. It taught me discipline and I would think about my dreams. I would think about the sacrifices my parents made for me," she says in the video. "I would think about my little sister and how I was her hero. I wold look at the beauty around me, the sunshine through the trees. I would keep breathing."

"There are things I’m still afraid of," she continued. "When I have to conquer those things I still have to go back to that park. Before I hit the stage I go back to that park. When it was time to give birth, I went back to that park. The park became a state of mind. The park became my strength. The park is what made me who I am. Where’s your park?"

Beyonce’s full interview with Elle hits newsstands on April 6th, but the digital edition comes out on April 5th. Ivy Park, meanwhile, will be available for purchase on April 14. Let's hope Beyonce's forthcoming album drops on the same day.
