Beware of Thieves Who Are Known as ‘Sliders’ [VIDEO]
Turns out the practice of 'Sliding' is not new, but when it came up in my news feed I thought it was important enough to share.
In the video below, you'll see 'sliders' in action. An unsuspecting woman is pumping gas with her back to her car. The thief slides in just under the car window and therefore just under her line of sight in order to steal her purse right out of her car.
Let's face it. How much attention do any of us pay when we're pumping gas? We could be busy punching in our zip code or PIN at the pump, or more likely staring at our phones. This presents the perfect opportunity for thieves like this to grab a purse, laptop, or anything we may have in our car.
At the time this video was released, police were issuing a warning that makes even more sense today. Lock your doors.
