Teens are using Burt's Bees lip balm on their eyelids to alter their mental state. "Beezin" will create a high on its own or enhance the affects of drugs and alcohol. Others say it keeps them awake and alert.

Social media sites like YouTube and Instagram show lots of teenagers indulging in this new trend.

Doctors say it's the peppermint oil in the lip balm that creates the tingling sensation that teens are after. It may sound like no big deal, but they warn that are some health hazards that come with "beezin." There is a very serious risk of infection, especially if the lip balm has been used on the lips already. Smearing lip balm on the eyelids will also cause symptoms similar to pink eye or an allergic reaction.
