I would never survive as a waiter. I've seen the things that people say and to them when their service isn't up to someone's standards. But more than the harassment you take from customers, there is one little fault that I have that would interfere with serving people.  I'm a "spiller", which would make any job as a waiter dangerous. Serving an event with dignitaries would be a recipe for disaster. I know I'm not alone in this fear, and I can totally sympathize with Martin, a waiter in Germany, who spilled beer on the Chancellor of Germany.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel was sitting down at an event to share a meal. Martin wasn't supposed to be waiting on the Chancellor, but he was helping a waitress who was too nervous about making a mistake with the dignitaries. Martin approached her with a tray containing seven glasses of beer.

While leaning over to serve a glass of beer, the tray slipped and the remaining six glasses of beer poured down the back of her outfit. “I was shoved from behind, and tried to catch the beers, but it was too late,” he said.

The Chancellor reacted with brief shock, but maintained her composure.  She wore the jacket, soaked in beer, during her speech. See the waiter and all the fun below.
