Baseball Player Hugs Childhood Friend After Striking Him Out

Before celebrating with his teammates, he consoled his old friend.

Minnesota high school baseball player Ty Koehn had just struck out the opposing team, moving his own team on to the state championships.

But the batter wasn't just a member of the opposing team - he was the childhood friend of Ty. Jack Kocon had played little league with Ty and had known each other since they were 13.

So, Ty took a second to give his old friend a hug before celebrating with his team, and said that he wanted him to know that their friendship was more important that the "silly outcome" of a game.
