It's the modern way to bank, ATM machines or banking on-line, but what would it be like to go into a bank that had no tellers?  A few banks are testing out new systems and the possibility of that happening is very real.

Banks are more interested in freeing up time for employeees to sell profitable products like mortgages and to process loans, so some banks are installing touch screens and kiosks for self-service to allow people to cash checks and buy money orders— tasks typically reserved exclusively for tellers.

One of the innovators, Bank of America,  is trying out video teller machines with screens that would give customers access to employees located in a centralized call center who can remotely authorize transactions, review check images and dole out cash.
