Tree Riddle
Tree Riddle, who is often referred to as a "music snob" by friends and co-workers, has always had a deep interest in films and pop culture. His obsessive love of rock music didn't surface until much later in life -- around the same time he began learning electric guitar and listening to artists like Jimi Hendrix. Tree spent the next decade learning everything he could about both the history and current state of rock music. Along the way he gravitated towards the work of unique, against-the-grain bands like Pearl Jam, Modest Mouse and Queens of the Stone Age. Tree decided to pursue a career in radio after realizing he would be most happy talking about music all day and scoring free CDs and concert tix. After grinding it out for years on the intern circuit, Tree landed a job at his hometown rock station -- Banana 101.5 in Flint, MI. Tree later became the full-time music editor at Banana1015.com, writer for Loudwire.com and is currently the Digital Managing Editor for Townsquare Media's Flint stations.
