Reed Pence has been reporting on medicine since 1983, when he became host/producer of the Associated Press Radio Network’s daily health feature. He later joined the PIA Radio Network as a producer of its programs Health Care and PIA Public Affairs. Since 1992, Pence has been host and lead producer of Radio Health Journal. He is winner of numerous national and regional media awards from groups such as the Chicago Headline Club/Society of Professional Journalists, the Board of Directors of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, MADD, and the National Hearing Conservation Association.
