Have you always wanted to see what a General Motors plant looks like on the inside? Usually It's impossible to get into the plants, but now you have an opportunity to tour all five of them around the area on Thursday.

General Motors decided to host the open houses as a token of appreciation for the communities involvement and support. In a recent press release, GM Vice President of Manufacturing & Labor Relations, Diana Tremblay, talks about the idea behind the open houses:

"Thanks to the support we have received from various stakeholder groups, we have a strong U.S. manufacturing footprint that employs thousands of people. These open houses are our way of showing our appreciation to the communities where we operate."

There will be plenty of activities going on throughout the day, including a chance to test drive some of the latest vehicles. You have a chance to visit Flint Assembly, Flint Metal Center, Flint Engine Operations, Flint Tool & Die and Grand Blanc Weld Tour Center.

The tours are free, but you have to pre-register in order to get this deal. You can sign up for all or individual plant tours.
