April Fools’ Prank Could Land a Waffle House Employee in Jail
It's never a good idea to try to pull off an April Fools' Day prank that might get you fired or arrested, but a Waffle House employee from Virginia is facing the possibility of both.
Her name is Susan Alexandria Tinker, and the 20-year-old is an employee at a Hampton, Virginia. At around 6:00am on the day of fools, Susan called 911 to report that they had been robbed. When police arrived, she told them it was actually an April Fools' Prank, and that they had not been robbed.
Well, the joke was on her because it turns out that her prank was actually a crime! Susan was arrested for falsely summoning police and now faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500. No idea if Waffle House will let her keep her job, but I'm guessing probably not. Oops!
