What ever happened to original ideas?  Are they all gone?  From the 50 or so 'Spiderman', 'Batman' and 'Superman' remakes to 'Robocop', 'Carrie', and 'The Naked Gun', the list goes on and on.  Now, Sony Pictures has announced that there will be yet another classic to add to the "been there... done that" list, and you can bet your bottom dollar that you've seen the original.

The new version of "Annie" will be released this Christmas.  Academy Award nomenee Quvenzhané Wallis will play the title character, and Cameron Diaz will take on the role of Miss Hannigan.  Unlike the 1982 film starring Aileen Quinn and Carol Burnett, this reboot does not include the role of "Daddy" Oliver Warbucks, played by Albert Finney.  Instead, Jamie Foxx will portray Mr. Stacks, a business tycoon and New York City mayoral candidate.

There are many differences between 1982's Annie and this years reboot.  Are you excited to see this new take on the classic, or do you think they should have left it alone?
