Before his final show-closing remarks, “60 Minutes” will present an interview with Morley Safer, which will take a look at Rooney’s career through the years. He joined CBS in 1949, and began his regular ‘Minutes’ commentary in 1978.
Jeff Fager, CBS News Chariman told Media Bistro, “There’s nobody like Andy and there never will be. He’ll hate hearing this, but he’s an American original.”
