Newcastle has a new ad campaign, and it's either remarkably brilliant, or incredibly dumb. "Cups" singer Anna Kendrick was supposed to star in a Super Bowl commercial, but that never happened because the beer company couldn't afford it... or at least that's the joke.

There is a new video featuring Kendrick "behind-the-scenes" talking about how she was ready to shoot the commercial, but was told days before that it wouldn't happen because of budgetary reasons.
