They're not officers, but they are keeping an eye out for troublemakers.

Back in August, a bicyclist told ABC 12 that somebody had strung fishing line across the trail, causing him to crash. This comes after reports of people purposefully trying to block the trail with brush and other objects.

With this in mind, UM-Flint Public Safety Department and Americorps have decided to have daily patrols on the path.

While they're out there, they'll also be picking up trash and trying to beautify the trail.

It's really sad that it's come to this - a daily patrol. Why can't people just be respectful? But either way, thank you to Americorps for doing this!
