Currently, nearly 34% of Americans are considered to be clinically obese. That percentage is expected to rise dramatically in the next two decades.

The US obesity rate is expected to hit 42% by the year 2030.

As our weight rises, so will the cost of healthcare. Medical costs could rise as much as $550 billion in the next two decades.

The number of Americans considered severely obese, 100 or more pounds overweight, is predicted to rise by 11% by 2030.
