Amber Alert Issued for Missing 2-Year-Old West Michigan Girl [UPDATED]

Authorities report Amber Rose Smith was found early Wednesday afternoon. Other than a few bruises and scrapes, Amber is alive and doing OK. WOOD-TV reports that she was found by a DNR employee in a wooded area about one quarter mile from her home.
Authorities and dozens of volunteers are searching for 2-year-old Amber Rose Smith who went missing from her home in Paris, on Michigan’s west side, yesterday. Her father reported her missing around 1:30 pm Tuesday, and Newaygo County officials have issued an Amber Alert.
Smith is said to have wandered off before, and authorities are not suspecting foul play at this time.
Amber is 2′ 5″, weighs 25 pounds, has blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black halter top, pink tie, and blue jeans. She may not be wearing shoes.
Paris is located northwest of Big Rapids, Michigan in Newaygo County. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Newaygo County Sheriff’s office at 231-689-6623.
