With a new album to promote, Alanis Morissette is hitting the road again. The devoted mom and potential future ‘American Idol’ judge kicks off her latest American tour in less than two weeks.

Titled the Guardian Angel Tour, Morissette’s trek begins in late August with three shows in New Jersey and finishes up on Nov. 1 in Phoenix, according to Idolator. The Canadian singer will make three visits to her home country with concerts in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

The tour comes in support of Morissette’s new album ‘Havoc and Bright Lights,’ due Aug. 28, and its lead single ‘Guardian.’ Fortunately for fans of the ‘Jagged Little Pill’ era, the now-38-year-old singer won’t shy away from performing the angsty anthems of her younger years.

She says in a press release that her setlists will have plenty of room for older favorites like ‘You Oughta Know’: “The songs from the last 17 years are blending together like great friends. Thankfully, there is a timelessness in their content and passion, for me. The show covers the gamut of every chord choice and every emotion I have ever felt. I am spent afterwards, happily so. I am thrilled to be able to play and tour with my family, blending my personal and artistic fulfillment into one sweaty, feisty, expressed, communal traveling circus!”
