Have you played SongPop on Facebook yet? I finally buckled under pressure, and I'm hooked. The problem is, I'm not good at it. Not good at all!

Like Draw Something, and Words With Friends, SongPop is the latest Facebook app that has caught on like wildfire. SongPop has reached two million daily active users.

The social media phenom is a music-challenge game in which two players listen to song clips, and are presented with four possible answers. Guess the correct artist or title in order to earn points. The faster you are at registering the correct answer, the more points you earn. As you rack up points, you earn coins which are used to unlock more content.

Playlists include Classic Rock, 70s, 80s, Love Songs, Today's Hits, and more. You can use coins to shuffle playlists in order to find one you're better at, or drop two wrong answers if you're really stuck.

I expected to be good great at it. I've been a music fan all my life, and have built a good mediocre career in radio. Trouble is, I'm unbelievably bad at this game! I suck at it, actually.

  • I've been beaten by friends.
  • I've been slaughtered by coworkers. (Even Jeremy Fenech's wife has had her way with me, um, so to speak.)
  • My son Nick has destroyed me.
  • My nephew's wife has cleaned my clock.
  • A friend in California has beaten me every time we've played. Every single time.

So what are you waiting for? Friend me on Facebook, and let's play! You'll probably wipe the floor with me.
