AAA Michigan: Gas Prices Plummet 18 Cents

Gas prices have dropped about 18 cents from last week AAA Michigan reports and the lowest prices in the state can be found in the Flint area.

Michigan's current statewide average is about $2.68 per gallon, 56 cents less than last year at this time. Of the cities surveyed by AAA Michigan, the cheapest price for unleaded self-serve fuel can be found in the Flint area, where it's about $2.62 per gallon. The highest average is in the Marquette area at about $2.81 per gallon.

AAA expects gas prices to drop another 15-20 cents per gallon in the near future as the retail prices catch up with the steep declines of both crude oil and wholesale gasoline.
