This year's Back To The Bricks was a huge success. It was great to see tens of thousands of people flock to Saginaw Street enjoying the classic vehicles, many made right here in Flint.
There were literally thousands of vintage cars to see at Back to the Bricks this past week. My wife and I got up early Saturday morning and got in a 10-mile run along the Flint River trail. We ended up in downtown Flint for some early action at Back to the Bricks.
Yes I know you can't drive this in the Rolling Cruise with Back To The Bricks. After you watch the video I'm sure you'll agree that it is as unusual as some of the cars you'll see in Flint this weekend.
Take a look for yourself.
I put my Pine Wood Derby racer together last night at Thomas Appliance in Grand Blanc. It's free to kids 18 and under. Yea I know I'm not 18, they made a special exception for me because I started to act up.
You can get yours there this afternoon starting at five.
Thousands upon thousands of people flock to Flint every year to experience "Back To The Bricks," and this year promises to be the biggest yet! For those of you who are visiting Flint for the first time, we have come up with five things that you have to do while in Vehicle City!
We had a blast at last year's 'Bricks Flicks!" The feature was "Back To The Future," and several DeLoreans lined the front of the screen. Tonight's film will be the original 'Footloose,' and I am sure there will be plenty of feet at the US-23 Drive-In on Fenton Road.
Back to the Bricks in downtown Flint means all sorts of fun for the entire family. Here's a schedule of all the fun this week.

There is no doubt that Back to the Bricks has become one of, if not he biggest event in Flint. I am pleased to announce that this year's events have already begun!
In Flint Township, residents feel that they are too closely associated with all the failings of the City of Flint, and there is a movement afoot to change the name of Flint Township. Is this group neglecting the good things that happen in Flint, like "Back to the Bricks" and the "Flint Farmers Market"?
Perhaps they are considering it a "makeover", but isn't it kind of like putting lipstick on a pig? She's prettier, but still a pig. Do you think they should change the name? Take our poll after the jump and share your vote.
Looking for a new place to enjoy a great meal? Have you checked out "Blackstones" in downtown Flint? The food is awesome and the atmosphere is very entertaining. It's like a trip back in time to enjoy your dinner in the sidewalk cafe and watch the foot-traffic of downtown Flint pass by!
I am a die-hard fan of the "Back To The Future" movie series. I love the concept, the characters, and that time machine! I was able to see a DeLorean at Back To The Bricks a few years back, and there were several of the slick sedans at last year's Bricks Flicks.
As much as I love the fantasy of it all, it looks like more and more of a reality. I brought you a story a few months back about Nike producing the Air Mag, the shoes Marty McFly wore in Part 2 during a stop in 2012. What else is a reality now? A flying DeLorean!
