Hats off to you, good sir. Thank you for your service, past and present.

Tom Rice is 97-years-old (according to him, technically he's 97 and 8/12) and wanted to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day in a big way, so he recreated the same jump that he had made into Normandy on June 6th, 1944.

Yesterday, he tandem-jumped out of a C-47 military plane, similar to the one he jumped out of 75 years ago, into the same landing zone.

He trained for six months to make this jump one last time, and he requested that he be able to pull the cord that released the American flag. When he landed, he said, "I represent a whole generation."

As the daughter of a Navy veteran, this had me all kinds of teared up. Thank you, Mr. Rice, for being brave back then...and NOW.
