Even the guy who sculpted it thinks that it's creepy!

About 700 people showed up, just before midnight on Saturday in a Detroit warehouse for the unveiling of the one-ton statue. Attendees paid $25 per ticket, and the location was kept secret until right before the event. Some were there because they're devoted Satanists, others bought tickets because they were "curious."

Judging from the pictures on their Facebook page, it looked like a pretty harmless event. More like a Halloween party. The invite asked them to wear horns and tails! Obviously, the head of the Detroit Chapter of the Satanic Temple said that they are trying to make a point about "religious liberty."

No cameras or media were allowed, and guests weren't allowed to take their own photos. There were protests by local churches before the event.
